I am more than forty years old. I already have education in business management.
Why the heck am I studying Computer Science when I could have been merely focusing on a career in business management or business ownership?
Here are some of my reasons:
- Computer languages are the language of the future
- Technology is entering every sphere of our lives
- Technology is growing at a rapid pace
- Adoption of cell phones and mobile devices are increasing at a rapid pace
- Marketing field and subject has been disrupted by Social Media
- Trade has been disrupted by eCommerce
- Finance has been disrupted by online banks, online money transfer services, online trading platforms, and so on
- Accounting has been disrupted by online counseling, online budget tools, online tax services and so on
- Tangible goods have been disrupted by intangibles like NFT (Non Fungible Tokens)
- Technology jobs are on the rise
- Technology has scale which traditional business models do not have
- Technology companies are among the most powerful and richest companies on the plant
- These are only some of the information we have right now. There is more to come in the near future. You simply can not be ignorant about technology anymore !
